10 Trends Most Idahoans Wish They’d Stayed In 2021
We’re barely into 2022 and we’re still seeing some 2021 trends that we hate. It’s okay, life doesn’t change in an instant like the new year does. However, it would be nice if these things were to stay in 2021 in their place.
Seriously, some of these “challenges” are absolutely ridiculous. I’m not talking about the dancing ones who are clumsy and don’t hurt. Continue like that ! It’s nice to see you all having fun. We are talking about those who ask students to destroy school toilets, beat teachers, jump out of moving vehicles. Ok, I don’t know if that last one was actually a challenge, but I wouldn’t be surprised. You understand what I’m saying here.
If someone wants to wear a mask, go your way. If someone doesn’t want to wear a mask, go your way. If someone gets vaccinated, let them. If someone chooses not to get vaccinated, so be it. Let people make their own decisions and stop dividing yourselves about it. We are humans capable of making our own decisions and each decision is not without consequence. Apparently it means “not cool”. Yeah, I’m definitely not cool because that’s one of the most ridiculous words I’ve ever heard. But that could just be a sign that I’m old. Carry on young
Ok, it’s not just a 2021 trend, it happens every year. Please shout out loud if it’s dark or snowing or raining, please use your headlights. Especially if you’re in a white vehicle in a snowstorm.
I think I’ve heard of more poaching cases in Idaho in 2021 than since I moved here. Let’s be real, if you want to kill him, use him. What’s the point of shooting something and letting it get lost? Also, super illegal, so there’s that.
If you are breaking the speed limit, move to the right lane. The left lane is for overtaking. Please stop going 60 MPH in the left lane and backing up traffic. Obviously, not talking about the bad weather conditions and that you have to drive slowly, but still do it in the right lane.
Idahoans love mullet right now. Teenagers and young adults cut their hair “ironically” in a mullet. I mean, it’s pretty hilarious, but my “broken heart” can’t take it anymore.
Blowing through crosswalks in general is not a good idea. However, there are several crosswalks around Twin Falls that flash. Please don’t ignore the flashing lights. Stop and check. Too many people were injured in crosswalks last year.
Can’t we all get along? I know change is difficult. But we really shouldn’t shame people who move here just for moving here. They’ve seen how wonderful Idaho is, just like you. They just want to be happy and have a good life. Embrace it, kindness goes a long way.
Between the Twin Falls City pool bubble and its graffiti, the vandalism has to stop. People work hard for what they got, it’s so uncool to go around and waste it for “fun”
